Description
Warehouse Operative
The shifts are 12 hours, 4 on 4 off. Starting at 19:00 - 07:00.
£12.65 per hour, minimum 48 hours per week.
Must have transport due to location.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various warehouse duties including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to load and unload shipments
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Utilize warehouse management systems (AS400) to track inventory and manage orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Proficient in materials handling techniques, including loading, unloading, and stacking
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (AS400) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing orders
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
