TEAM PROMOTION BOLSTERS THE OUTBASE EXETER EXPERIENCE
While the team prepares to unveil the refurbishment and renovation work that’s been happening on site, Kelly Hughes, Manager at Outbase Exeter is pleased to announce that there’s a new addition to the team.
Tony Oldham who started his journey as a Van Driver with Backline over two years ago has recently re-trained as the Weekend Office Assistant and began his new role on the 8th May.
Speaking of their latest team member, Kelly says:
“We’re always looking at ways to upskill our current workforce and enhance the customer experience at Outbase Exeter. We operate all year round and felt it was important to have a permanent member of the team on board to oversee weekend activities.
“Our customers have come to expect high levels of service from us, from dedicated driver resources, the facilities on offer, and a yard that’s compliant with the latest health and safety standards. Tony will help us to maintain those high levels of standards and service during the weekend, despite the fact it’s a quieter time and can be overlooked by other Outbase facilities.”
Other team changes have also been made to ensure the smooth running of Outbase Exeter, with Shift Operations Manager, Rob Sargent and Assistant Manager, Marc Newton changing their shift patterns to offer a seamless and consistent experience on a Monday to Friday.
“It’s important for our customers and our drivers to be greeted by a friendly face when they arrive at the yard and we’re sure the improved shift patterns between Marc, Rob and Tony will have a positive impact on everyone – even those of us who work in the office!” added Kelly.
As the Outbase Exeter team continues to focus on growth and strengthening their offering, they’re already looking forward to unveiling their refurbished and renovated yard next month – fingers crossed!
