Backline has a great relationship with their drivers (some say we’re more of a family business!). Whether you’re an HGV artic or rigid driver, HIAB, ADR, or van driver – if you’re looking to be locally based and escape the ‘conveyor belt’ of agency work then you’re in the right place.
We are looking for an experienced Lorry Mounted Loader (HIAB) operator for ongoing, Monday - Friday, steady work in the Bristol area.
The Job
You will be driving to jobs in the area to undertake the backfilling/reinstatement of roads.
You will be driving a Class 2 (c) vehicle with Tipper body and HIAB with Clamshell Bucket attachment.
The job will involve working as a two-man team, Filling the trenches excavated for the maintenance of utility services to certain specifications, compacting the material in the trench using a mechanical compactor (Wacker) and prepping them for the Tarmac gangs to complete.
About You
- must hold a Category C licence
- HIAB experience essential.
- NPORS conversion training will be provided where needed.
- NPORS Clam attachment certification an advantage but full training provided if you don’t have this.
- Be physically fit due to the nature of the work
- Be able to work as part of a team
NRSWA qualification also will be offered to the right candidate
