Another Driver Upgraded

You will see from our “Why Join Backline?” page the importance we place on looking after our field staff. Part of the investment that we make in them is training and up-skilling.

Our internal training division regularly takes people through Driver CPC, Forklift and HIAB training. This year we have also undertaken a programme of driver upgrades (see “When 2 Becomes 1“).

Who Is This Guy?

The latest Backline member to join the Class 1 club is Ian Lima, who works out of our Exeter branch. We asked him for a few words about his time with Backline, and this is what he said:

“I moved to Devon in 2012, working with an agency as needed work, whilst working for another agency I heard about Backline. So went and had a chat with them and never looked back. Unfortunately in 2015 I had some health problems which meant I was off work for over 4 months. When I returned to work I took a full time job, which was easy with a limited amount of lifting. After just over a year, i’d had enough and came back to where I belong. Since I have been back they have been amazing, with the amount of training, HIAB, skip, plant and of course the main one – my class 1 which is amazing!”
