Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by picking and loading various goods. There will be lifting required for the role. You will be working in a refrigerated environment.
You will be working in a chilled environment.
Shifts: 4 on 4 off on a rota - 19.00 start approximate finish time 07.30 am (nights)
(Could be occasionally 5 nights on, 3 off)
This role is ongoing for the right candidate.
Public transport is irregular to this location so your own transport is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods as required.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of products.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing stock to maintain high standards.
- Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
- Engage in materials handling tasks, including sorting, stacking, and storing products in designated areas.
- Participate in picking and packing orders accurately for delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25kg) regularly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach to tasks.
