Class 1 HGV Driver – Buckfastleigh
Pay: £17.77 per hour
Hours: 48 hours minimum per week.
Shifts: 5-6 days per week on a rota including weekends, you will average 3 nights out per week.
Start Date: Immediate starts available.
The Role
Backline Logistics are currently recruiting for Class 1 HGV Tramper Drivers to work with one of our established clients in Buckfastleigh, Devon.
This is a full time, temporary to permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 articulated vehicles.
- You will be required to load and unload yourself using pallet trucks and counterbalance forklifts (full training will be provided).
- Complete deliveries and collections as required
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation
- Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
- Provide a professional level of customer service
- Work safely and in accordance with all company and site procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 years experience driving class 1.
- No more than 6 penalty points.
- Good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations
- Reliable and professional approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
