We are looking for an experienced dust cart driver.

You will be collecting commercial waste so collecting bins 240L plus. This could be from any business premises including restaurants and offices.

You will need to enjoy early starts as you will be starting at 04.00am. You are guaranteed 9 hours but often the shift will be longer.

This could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

£14.00 per hour (overtime after 9 hours)

You will need transport due to the start time and location.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dust cart
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry at all times.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence (C ) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a dustcart driver.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
• Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items when necessary.
• Excellent time management skills with a commitment to punctuality.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
