Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing stock, picking and packing and facilitating the shipping and receiving processes.
This position requires physical stamina and a keen attention to detail, as you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations.
Good numeracy and literacy skills required as you will be picking items.
Transport required due to location.
Temp to perm placement for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently for materials handling.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to ensure timely dispatch.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organised stock area, ensuring that items are stored correctly.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movement.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Build pallets or displays as required for efficient storage and presentation of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems or similar technology preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs.
