Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid cargo using tanker vehicles. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage deliveries in a timely manner.
ADR qualification is required
Class 1 or Class 2 licence
Day work. Tramping is part of the role.
Temp to Perm for the right candidate
Duties
- Operate tanker vehicles to transport liquid cargo to various destinations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities transported and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Requirements
- Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence
- ADR Licence (in date)
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, with tanker experience.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous materials.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively for timely deliveries.
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as necessary.
