Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to manage time effectively, and a knack for upselling products. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases and inquiries.
Hours: 08.00 - 17.00
£13.00 minimum per hour, more dependant on experience.
Transport required dur to location.
Knowledge of timber would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the products they need.
- Provide knowledgeable information about products and services to enhance customer experience.
- Effectively manage time to ensure all customers receive prompt attention.
- Utilise phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone or email.
- Upsell additional products and services to maximise sales opportunities.
- Maintain an organised sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is displayed attractively and replenished as needed.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and restocking shelves.
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment.
- Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling and till operations.
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Previous experience in a retail or sales environment
- A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new challenges within the sales role.
