Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Office/Counter Assistant to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations at our front desk, providing exceptional customer service, and managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail, contributing to a positive experience for our clients.
Hours: Wednesday afternoons (1 pm-5 pm), all day Thursday (8 am-5 pm), and all-day Friday (8 am-5 pm)
Some sales and customer service experience would be an advantage.
Transport required due to rural location.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries at the counter.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and support as needed.
- Taking orders
- Perform clerical tasks such as data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Support administrative functions including filing, typing, and general office duties.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Answer the phone.
Requirements
- Proficient in using computer systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Previous experience in an office or clerical environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn new skills.
