Description
HGV Class II Driver
We are looking for a Class II HGV driver to collect goods from establishments across the South West. You will be driving a glass collection -top loader truck/refuse truck.
This is a temp to perm for the right candidate.
You will enjoy early starts between 04.00am and 06.00am.
It is usually a 9 hour day but this could vary across the week especially during busy times.
Experience is an advantage although training could be given.
You are physically fit as this role has substantial handball.
Duties
- Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Skills
- Valid class II driver's license
- Valid CPC and digi card is a must.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to handle loading, unloading, and securing cargo
