Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our clients team on temp to perm basis for the delivery of fresh bakery products. You will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle, ensuring timely deliveries to retail outlets, wholesale and convenience stores across the South of England while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
- Delivering bakery products on behalf of customers from Southampton to a range of retail outlets, wholesale and convenience stores across the South of England.
- Planning the route on a day to day basis.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Tail lift and manual handling of bread deliveries.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

- Shift Hours: Starting between 01:00hrs and 03:30hrs, on a 25-week rolling rota, including weekends.
