Concrete Plant Operative / Mixer Driver
Location: Taunton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Ongoing work until February 2027 minimum
Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Concrete Plant Operative / Mixer Driver to join a busy and well-established operation based in Taunton.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term, full-time work, with the assignment guaranteed to run until at least February 2027. There is also the potential for the successful candidate to secure a permanent position with the client.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position involving the day-to-day operation of a concrete mixing plant, alongside the delivery of raw materials and ready-mixed concrete to building and construction sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the daily operation of the concrete mixing plant
- Producing and preparing concrete mixes to required specifications
- Delivering raw materials and ready-mixed concrete to construction and building sites
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures
Full Training Provided
No previous concrete mixer experience is required, although previous experience would be preferable.
Full training will be provided during your first 3 days of work, ensuring you are confident and competent in the operation of the plant, equipment and delivery requirements.
We are happy to consider reliable and hardworking candidates who are willing to learn and develop their skills.

- Reliable and hardworking
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
- Safety conscious and able to follow procedures
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable working within a busy construction and building materials environment
