Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver with skip and RoRo experience to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods securely and ensuring timely deliveries.
Start time 06.00 Monday to Friday
Must have transport due to location
May in future be temp to perm depending on candidate.

Duties
- Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials, particularly for flatbed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
- Assist in planning routes to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class C HGV licence.
- Strong knowledge of delivery driver responsibilities, including navigation and route planning.
- Experience of skip and RoRo
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo safely.
