Job Overview
We are seeking a Class 2 driver with Hiab experience (current licence preferred but not essential as training can be given).

You will be delivering goods to sites across the South West. Some hand balling so physical fitness is essential.

Hours: 6.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with company policies as well as local, regional, and national regulations regarding transportation.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns professionally.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving is essential.
• A valid HGV licence is required.
• Experience of working a Hiab crane with brick grab attachment.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients and colleagues alike.
