We are currently recruiting a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team.
Working with our client in Basingstoke, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials to residential and commercial sites using a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB).
This is a customer-facing role and ideal for a driver who takes pride in safety, punctuality, and excellent service.
Competitive Pay | Immediate Start
Guaranteed weekly salary for the right person and hourly rates starting from £17/hour depending on experience.
Own transport required to get to assignments, with fuel PAID (for certain distances)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HIAB vehicle to deliver building materials to various sites.
- Hiab experience at least 6 months preferred
- HGV Driving experience at least 2 years preferred
- Load and unload using the lorry-mounted crane (brick grab or hook)
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with all transport legislation
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork
- Represent the company professionally at all times
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Licence
- HIAB Certificate (brick grab and/or hook)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months HIAB experience preferred
- Good knowledge of local roads and delivery procedures·
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented
