Description
We are looking for a Class 2 HGV drivers for temporary and permanent roles based around Exeter.
You will have at least 6 months Class 2 HGV driving experience and less than 6 points.
We have Class 2 multi drop roles, food delivery, tanker drivers, dust, roro, skip plus may other positions on offer.
For some roles training will be provided - eg. working in confined spaces, hiab operation etc.
You will need transport to get to your chosen location.
Wage and start times depend on individual positions.
Temp to perm opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles at various locations efficiently and safely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 driving licence with a max of 6 points.
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
- Training as required
