We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving and a dedication to providing excellent service as a driver.
Multi skills eg skip, dust, roro an advantage. Haib experience? Wage on application.
Full time or part time available
£14.00 plus per hour (8-45 hours weekly - to suit)
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Assist in the maintenance of the lorry by reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of delivery processes and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks safely.
