Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mixer Driver.
Experience preferred but training will be given.
This role requires a commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and cleaning.
40 hours per week (paid 45 hours)
Bonus scheme once role becomes permanent.
Responsibilities
- Operate lorries in compliance with all relevant traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

- making sure that the load is correctly placed
- driving and operating one of our volumetric concrete mixers
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent).
- Strong mechanical knowledge to identify and address basic vehicle issues.
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations.
- Willingness to undertake additional training as required.
