ALLMI Training Qualification will continue to drive Backline’s quality standards
Sam Hay, Training Manager at Backline has signed up to a two-day training course this month to become an accredited trainer for the Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI).
ALLMI is the UKs only accrediting body to specialise in training for each member of the lorry loading lifting team, to ensure that managers, instructors and lorry loader lifting team members alike receive the highest standard of training.
It’s also the UKs only lorry loader scheme to be commended by the HSE, recognised by Build UK and approved by CSCS.
Speaking of his decision to become ALLMI certified, Sam explained that it’s important for Backline to retain their integrity and high standards of training that their clients and their drivers have come to expect.
“As a logistics business it’s imperative that we continue to raise industry standards and maintain our position as a gold standard training provider. By expanding our existing training portfolio with ALLMI accreditation, we’re reflecting the needs of the market, continuing to develop our training portfolio and driving up industry standards.”
By the end of October, Sam will have secured his position as an accredited ALLMI trainer and expand the high quality training programmes already provided by Backline.
“It’s important for us to keep driving standards as high as possible and work with industry leaders such as ALLMI to help us maintain those high standards. Building merchants, such as Travis Perkins and Jewson’s demand that their drivers are ALLMI accredited and we’re pleased that we’ll be playing a pivotal role in providing them with top quality, accredited drivers,” added Sam.
We have no doubt that Sam will pass the training course with flying colours enabling Backline to provide ALLMI training to new and existing drivers from November onwards.
