We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of the rules of the road.

You may on occasion be asked to work in the warehouse.

A Class 2 licence would be an advantage for holiday cover but the client is willing to train the right person to obtain a Class 2 licence.

7am - 5pm Monday to Friday

This is a permanent role once you have successfully completed the temp to perm period.

Duties

• Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
• Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including picking orders and preparing items for delivery.
• Deliveries using a Class 2 vehicle

Requirements

• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle .
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
