Description
We are looking for an MOT Technician to join our client in Poole!
This role is offered on a permanent contract with an immediate start.
Reporting to the Centre Manager you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests in accordance with VOSA, company guidelines and procedures. You will carry out the fitment of tyres and the mechanical repair of a wide range of customer vehicles and provide products and services to a high standard, complying with the company operational rules and guidelines, whether this is on site or off site.
Your job duties will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
- Carry out MOT testing in accordance with VOSA testing requirements.
- Fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments.
- Fitting brakes, exhausts and other mechanical products.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with health & safety regulations at all times.
- Ensure that customers are dealt with in a professional manner
- Complete all work as efficiently as possible
- Monitor the technical and fitting standards and quality of workmanship
- Comply with all company/customer health and safety procedures
We are looking for someone with:
- Valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4)
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary depending on experience, from £33,000/annum.
