Description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated FLT/Van Driver to join our team. You will be using a FLT to load vehicles and move freight around a warehouse. The ideal candidate will then be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of service. You will be delivering to multiple locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and the ability to handle materials effectively.
Shift: 12.00 midnight to 9am
Various shifts per week.
No more than 6 points.
Transport required due to location.
Duties
- Safely operate a van to transport goods to designated locations.
- Operate a CB FLT (current licence preferred)
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including any shipping or receiving documentation.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and equipment repair.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy lifting and materials handling techniques.
- Experience with loading and unloading goods effectively.
- Familiarity with forklift operation
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
