HGV 2, aka Class 2 or cat. C, refers to a rigid lorry with a Maximum Authorised Mass (MAM) above 7.5 tonnes.

These vehicles tend to be used for deliveries where access is not suitable for an articulated  lorry, or where the items being delivered are less bulky/heavy as they typically have a payload of between six and 20 tonnes, compared to over 20 tonnes for a typical artic.

Driving a vehicle of this type professionally requires a C driving licence, valid digital tachograph card and driver qualification card.
