WHERE DID IT ALL START?

Quite simply, in an office above a flat on Blackboy Road in Exeter, in 1979! From a single branch, the company has evolved over a number of years, gradually expanding organically through providing an excellent service to its clients, combined with ensuring its drivers were looked after, too.

This philosophy has been part of Backline’s success and is the reason why, nearly 40 years on, we’ve increased our coverage to the entire South & South West regions of England, with ambitious growth plans for the next 5-10 years.
