7.5T Driver - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to manage various driving tasks effectively. Some hand balling so physical fitness is a must. Have experience of curtain side vehicles.
This is for 2 months initially.
Must have CPC and Digi card.
Duties
- Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to various locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and within the designated timeframes.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods, including flatbed deliveries when necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.
- Report any vehicle defects or issues promptly to management.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles.
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, particularly with flatbed vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for delivery driving.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- A good level of physical fitness is required due to the nature of loading and unloading goods.
- A clean driving record is advantageous.
