Our client is a well-established, local, independent fuel distributor looking to recruit a Fuel Tanker Driver to support their Okehampton depot.
FULL DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be a Class 2 Rigid Fuel Tanker Driver, with excellent organisational skills, be friendly, customer service focused and flexible with overtime to fit into business requirements.
The role:
- Daily loading of the vehicle at the company depot, or designated fuel terminal whilst following operation procedures and Health & Safety guidelines
- Multi-drop work delivering kerosene, road diesel and gas oil to a mixture of domestic and commercial customers
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and handed back to the office at the end of each shift
- Basic maintenance of the vehicle
- Weekend shifts and overtime during the periods of seasonal demand
- Regular communication with the office regarding deliveries
- Comply with all the relevant Working Time & Driving regulations
- Comply with health & safety regulations
- Assist with other work around the depot in quiet times
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Clean HGV Class 2 licence held for a minimum of 2 years
- ADR including Class 3 Flammable Liquids desirable
- ADR Tanks desirable
- PDP (Preferable not essential)
- Excellent customer focus & interpersonal skills
- Friendly & polite
- Well organised and can use own initiative
- Excellent Health & Safety knowledge
- Knowledge of the local area is an advantage
48 hours + weekly OT after 40 hours
Job Types: Temp to Perm
Salary: £31,000 minimum plus overtime.

- Driver CPC (required)
