We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires the ability to operate a curtain sider lorry and manage the transportation of materials with professionalism and care.

Some lifting required.

Hours usually 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday

This is initially to cover till September 2025.

Duties

• Drive a lorry to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies regarding safety and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence (C) with up to 3 points.
• Experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
