Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly metal delivery. This role involves transporting goods to various locations while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.
The successful applicant will be expected to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers.
You will be doing a few drops during the day returning to the warehouse in between each drop for reloading.
Full training will be given.
Transport essential due to start times and location.
Hours: 6am - 4pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekends. (Hours may vary)

We are seeking to train a driver who is available for this client as required. Some weeks 5 days and less other weeks. We have other work available if full time is required.
Duties
- Operate lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery confirmations.
- Ensure that all cargo is delivered in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence - Class 1
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
